The journey begins!

So today I had my first ever Skype group chat! An experience I have to say!
I'm used to meeting people face to face, so to meet people and introduce myself without being able to put faces and voices to names was slightly disconcerting but exciting at the same time!

During my first Module on this top up degree we have the option through tasks to experiment with communication through various different portals. Now I don't know about any of you ? but I have never been one for technologie. I,m just about comfortable with Facebook and email so am terrified but excited to broaden my skill set and see how this helps me progress on a professional level.

Now I just need to organise my time so I can juggle being a mum , finishing my degree , run my own dance school and finish studying for my licentiate with the ISTD!

It's going to be a busy year! But just from starting this blog and taking a step into Skype I am already feeling more confident that these new challenges are more achievable than I think!

Anyone else got a schedule like this?  and how are you thinking of managing the workload?

  1. Slightly concerned about organising my time!! haha, but I'm sure as always it will get done, you can do anything when you put your mind to it. A lot of it is physiological don't you think? - If you tell your self that you have the time to do it then you will do it. Easier said than done I know! however a challenge probably most people face. would you agree?

  2. Yes I know where your coming from! It's all a about positive mental attitude!
Since writing this post I have given myself a schedule of study, take my work with me everywhere so I can get any little bit done whenever I can and I have to do lists coming out of my ears.
I love it when I can start ticking things off!
So far I've written my c.v to make into my profile, and created an Instagram account !
So far so good ! X

  3. I agree, the Skype call was definitely a little disconcerting. It's nice to read through peoples blogs and start to put faces to names as we weren't able to do that during the Skype conversation. From reading through your blogs it seems like you live a busy but interesting life. I look forward to reading your future material.
